Roles

Intermediate Furniture Designer

This is an exciting, dynamic full-time role suitable for those with at least 2 years experience in product development. This role is creative, engaging and rewarding as you work with a team and collaborate to develop and bring unique products over the finish line. In lieu of resumes or CV, please share your personal design inspirations (website? social media? pinterest board? professional portfolio?) along with a concise description outlining your related experience and /or education. The role is in person and located in Vancouver BC.
This is not a woodworking position but an understanding of the materials and processes involved in furniture production is required. Project and staff management experience is also favourable. Pay rate is based on experience with paid holidays and health benefits package. 8-4pm Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week. We are looking for a long term dedicated applicant.

Duties Include:

  • Assist Senior Designer with daily tasks
  • Work with the design team to execute testing, sampling, packaging, quality control
  • Work through technical details and create detailed product specifications
  • Receive, inspect, & document product samples
  • Source and communicate with new and existing vendors
  • Arrange photoshoots (administrate, direct, execute)
  • Prepare product briefs using templates for internal and external purposes
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other teams


Candidate Must:

  • Must be competent in Adobe Suite (photoshop, illustrator, indesign), 3D modelling (solidworks or similar)
  • Candidate must possess a extensive knowledge of the raw materials, components and hardware available for construction
  • Must be an independent self starter
  • Must be very detail oriented, focus, flexible and goal oriented
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Organization and progress tracking
  • Develop and execute graphic assets based on brand guidelines
  • Prototyping / Workshop / Building / DIY experience
